All roads lead to Aughrim this Sunday were the Ladies team line out in the county intermediate final against Coolkenno. It’s a great achievement for the team to make a county final and a testament to all players and mentors who have put in the hours on the training field in all conditions and kept the team going in years when numbers dropped and they were struggling to field a team on occasions. We would ask all our supporters to make a big effort to get to Aughrim on Sunday to support the ladies and hopefully help spur them on to lift the county title. Throw in is 3pm, we hope to see you all there.
The juvenile ladies teams have also been busy lately with the U.14’s defeating Arklow in the first round of the championship by 2-10 to 3-01. The U.12’S had a great win in the championship against Bray, winning by 6-08 to 2-06 and the U.16’s overcame Coolkenno in the first round of the championship by 4-17 to 5-04.
On the men’s teams, the junior A team lost out to Ashford away from home in the league on Sunday morning.
There was no winner of this weeks lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 7,8,15 and 18. Winners of €25 each were Jack Cullen, William Clarke and Anne Flynn.
